Alba wendet Fehlstart ab Ein bitterer 0:13-Lauf macht den FC Bayern früh fertig

Alba Berlin secured their first victory in the EuroLeague, delivering a robust performance against ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne and preventing a complete false start. In contrast, FC Bayern München suffered their second loss in their third game, during a reunion match with world champion Isaac Bonga.

In their second away game in the EuroLeague, the basketball players from FC Bayern faced defeat at the hands of Partizan Belgrade under the authority of Coach Gordon Herbert, with the final score being 78 to 86 (32:49). A poor first half, marked by numerous ball losses, played a critical role in their downfall. This defeat, accentuated by Isaac Bonga, the national player and world champion who transferred from Munich to Belgrade last summer, saw the guests trailing by 13 points in just nine minutes.

Former Berlin player Sterling Brown also inflicted damage on Bayern by adding 16 points in the first half. Despite modifying their defence and reducing the score gap to 32:49, Bayern couldn’t manage to get any closer.

On a brighter note, league competitor Alba Berlin celebrated their first victory by overcoming French club Asvel Villeurbanne with a score of 84 to 79 (36:36) on home ground. The initial phase of the game was chaotic with both teams struggling to find rhythm – particularly the hosts. Despite an early technical issue causing a near ten-minute interruption, the Berlin team managed to regain the lead after a solid 10:0 run and maintained their delicate lead to the finish.
